The Trevi fountain as crazzzzy busy, but i LOVED it!! One of my favorites for sure...it was so pretty and the statues were reallu impressive too! I of course had to throw a coin in to ensure my return to Roma one day...so made Brad do it too :) We had a snack and decided to move on to the Pantheon
The outside of the Panthenon looks more like an old bank in Gotham City that has a temple. I'm not sure what material the 13 or so odd pillars and building were made of, but it has darkened over the years and was a charcoal color. Restortion blocked off half of the structure but we were still thoroughly impressed! Once inside we did some reading to catch up on its history...the building was erected in 36 BC and started off as a Pagan temple before being handed over to the Christians. Beautiful printing and sculptures lined the inside but the most impressive part was its perfectly shaped open air 
dome top. We must have spent 15 minutes just staring up wondering how they put it all together so seemlessly. Apparently we are not alone in this because the precision with which they built the Pantheon still amazes engineers today! We saw a funny sign inside and had to take a pictures.... caption "No Aussies allowed" haha After the Panthenon, We decided to just walk around for a bit and stumbled upon this huge castle..."Castel Sant'Angelo".. we really hadn't planned to see! We decided to check it out and were stoked because our Roma pass got us in for free which we were not expecting! It ended up being really cool too...beautiful views and lots of medieval weapons and catapults! And you could wander around in lots of different hallways, which i really liked...not so guided!
When we left, there was this CRAZY storm coming, and it was a perfect look for the castle...all dark and gloomy! Was a really nice day!

Took me forever to figure this out! Even though I had posted a comment before... Love the pictures and Vale and I got a good laugh thinking about you guys trying to get around Morlupo, once you leave the center NO ONE speaks english! Everyone made fun of me for trying so hard to learn italian but you NEED it if you are married to an Italian! XOXO I'm so glad you are having fun and I'm glad you like the area I think it's so peaceful there, I bet it is tough without a car though! I'm glad you two are doing it :) Check your email Chels because I Daniele and Eleonora are trying to get a hold of you about when you are leaving for another city because they want to make sure the house is locked, or something? Daniele said he tried to call you? I don't really know exactly what they are worried about but just give them a call when you get a chance. XOXO Too bad it's raining there it is INCREDIBLE here! Just visited Melbourne this past week and drove down the whole coast. It was by far the most beautiful thing I've ever seen. The country-side is beautiful! Take care!
That castle st.angleo was actually an important structure in the ANGELS & DEMONS book/movie!!! pertty cool y'all
